The experience
Farlam Hall is an enchanting, 18-bedroom manor-turned-hotel dating back some 500 years. Offering all the charm of a traditional country house, the Relais & Châteaux and Pride of Britain property lies in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside, not far from Hadrian’s Wall. It’s a place where history meets first-class dining, thanks in large part to Cedar Tree — Farlam’s Michelin-starred and four AA Rosette restaurant. Bistro Enkel pairs locally sourced dishes with garden views, while those seeking something more intimate can opt for a 10-guest chef’s table experience curated by Cedar Tree chef Hrishikesh Desai. Otherwise, soak up Farlam’s wellness offering at The Sycamore Retreat, which offers bespoke GAIA Skincare treatments.
The prizeThe winner and their guest will spend two nights in a deluxe room on a B&B basis, with a special dinner at either Bistro Enkel or Cedar Tree. Blackout dates apply, including peak summer (1 July to 30 September), bank holiday weekends and special occasions such as Easter, Christmas, New Year and Mother’s Day. The prize is valid for stays from 30 April to 30 June 2026, then 1 October 2026 to 30 April 2027. Rescheduling may occur due to private takeovers of the hotel. In this case, at least 30 days’ notice will be provided.
