The destinationPerched on the secluded, blue-green shores of South Caicos, Salterra Resort & Spa occupies a place where history, culture and nature intertwine. Each of the newly opened property’s 100 rooms offers a view onto the island’s remarkable waters. Guests are invited to choose from an array of dining options, spas and excursions, including a boat trip to experience the South Caicos Banks, whose reefs form part of the second-largest barrier reef system in the Western Hemisphere. Those interested in helping its endangered corals grow can take part in the resort’s reef restoration project, assisting scientists from the School for Field Studies (SFS) Center for Marine Resource Studies with coral cultivation and planting.

The prize

Courtesy of Salterra Resort & Spa, one reader and a guest will spend five nights in a one-bedroom Oceanfront Suite, enjoying daily breakfast in the Regatta restaurant. The prize includes a $500 (£403) flight allowance per person, free transport to and from South Caicos Airport, one 60-minute couple’s massage and a complimentary South Caicos Banks Experience for two, during which you’ll explore shallow reefs and uninhabited cays. The prize is valid from 30 April 2025 to 30 June 2026. Blackout dates apply (20 December 2025 to 4 January 2026). The trip must be booked at least 60 days prior to arrival.
