Gleam allows you to restrict throwaway accounts from entering your campaigns. When this option is enabled, we will perform an additional check that rejects Twitter profiles that do not meet our minimum quality criteria for entering campaigns.
When throwaway restriction is enabled, Gleam performs an additional check that rejects Twitter profiles that do not meet our minimum quality criteria for entering campaigns.
This option is designed to reduce spammers & cheaters, simultaneously ensuring the quality and legitimacy of your entrants.
If a contestant is suspected of using a throwaway account, they will see the following message when attempting to complete your action:
Sorry throwaway Twitter accounts are not allowed
We automatically flag certain entries that come across as Invalid. For example, if the action was incomplete, or if we detected suspicious activity from the user.
