Will My Campaign Still Work If I Rename It?

Your campaign will continue to work if you rename it. Updating the campaign name changes the label shown in your dashboard and the URL participants see via a Hosted Landing Page, but it does not change the underlying identifier that Gleam uses to keep your campaign running.

Gleam uses a unique campaign key as the primary identifier for each campaign. That key does not change when you rename the campaign, so your campaign logic, entry tracking, and any embedded widgets on your website will continue to function normally.

If you are using Gleam’s hosted landing page, the URL will update after you rename the campaign. The campaign key portion stays the same, but the campaign name portion that appears after it will reflect the new name. If someone visits the old hosted URL, it will still work — Gleam will automatically redirect them to the new URL.
