My Campaign Is Live But I'm Getting No Entries — What Should I Check?
A live competition with no entries is almost always a promotion issue — but rule out the technical basics first. Work through these in order and stop as soon as you find the cause.
1. Confirm the campaign is live. The status in your Competitions dashboard must say Live — not Draft, Paused, or Scheduled.

2. Test the hosted page. Open your gleam.io campaign URL in an incognito window. If it loads, the campaign works and the issue is your embed.
3. Check the embed.
- Your site must be HTTPS
- Embed code goes in a Custom HTML block — not a text or WYSIWYG block
- Container must be at least 400px wide
4. Check geo-restrictions. If you've restricted entries by country, anyone outside those regions sees nothing.
5. Actively promote it. First entries almost always come from your own audience:
- Email your list as a dedicated send (not a newsletter mention)
- Post on every social channel your audience uses
- Link it from your website homepage during the campaign
6. Audit the prize and entry flow.
- Is the prize relevant to your audience?
- Are there too many mandatory actions? Each one drops entrants
- Is the prize value clear and visible in the description?
Still stuck after all six? Email support@gleam.io with your campaign URL and what you've tried.
