How Do I Get More UGC Photos to Use in My Pinterest Boards?

Run a contest that asks entrants to submit Pins they've already posted, then get permission before you reuse the best ones.

  1. Add a Select a Pin Action and describe the photos you're after in Instructions. Add Require hashtags so entrants can only pick Pins tagged with your campaign hashtag.
  2. Add Select a Board if you'd like whole themed boards.
  3. Put a usage clause in your Terms & Conditions, then ask each creator directly before you save their photo to your boards.

We can't reward people for creating new Pins, because that's against Pinterest's terms. The Pin has to be on their profile already. Want photos that aren't on Pinterest yet? An Upload Action collects them straight from entrants (Business Plan and above).

Before launch, read Pinterest's Community Guidelines, which ban buying engagement and repetitive comments.

Can I Use The Photos From My Customers In My Pinterest Boards?

Only with the creator's permission. Get it in your contest terms and from each person directly before you save their photo to your boards.
