Why Does Gallery Voting Show Different Counts?
Your Gallery shows valid votes publicly, and that number is lower than total votes when our filters remove suspicious votes.
Galleries keep two tallies. Total votes counts every vote cast, including flagged ones. Valid votes counts only the votes that passed our fraud checks. Bot activity or repeated voting attempts can open a large gap between the two, and that's the filters doing their job. Anonymous votes are based on IP and session.
- Check which number you're looking at, total or valid.
- If the gap is large, look for bot or duplicate voting. Our Voting settings recommend requiring a social login.
- If you think real voters are being filtered out, collect the entry IDs where you can see it happening.
- Send those IDs through our contact form so we can check them.
A count that changes every time you refresh, or shows 0 when entries clearly have votes, is a display problem and not filtering. Send us a screenshot of what you see and the Gallery link through our contact form.
