Why Can't Gleam Verify Threads Follows?

Gleam can't verify Threads follows automatically, so you check them yourself when you draw a winner.

Threads doesn't offer an API for checking who follows an account. Gleam can confirm that an entrant visited your Threads profile, but we can't confirm that they followed it. The Follow on Threads Action rewards entrants for following your profile, but we can't confirm the follow itself.

1. Draw your winner as usual and open their entry.
2. Note the Threads handle they used.
3. Look for that handle in your Threads followers.
4. If they aren't following you, choose another winner.

If follows decide your result, add an Action we can verify, like Subscribe to Newsletter, as a main way to enter and treat the Threads follow as a bonus.
