How to Host a Giveaway
Build a Competition in Gleam, then put it on your own site or share its hosted landing page. We'll track every entry and draw the winners for you.
- Start a new Competition in the Competitions app and set your dates on the Setup tab.
- Add what you're giving away on the Prizes tab.
- Choose the Actions people complete to enter on the How to Enter tab. We'd start with an email signup plus one or two social Actions, since every extra Action is another reason to leave.
- Copy the embed code from the Install tab and paste it into a page or blog post. In WordPress, paste it in Text mode.
- When it ends, draw your winners on the Winners tab.
Embedding keeps people on your own domain. earthbath ran its Comfort Kit giveaway on its own site rather than sending people elsewhere, and got a 28.8% conversion rate (1,085 entrants from 3,766 impressions, earthbath case study). No website? Every Competition also gets a hosted landing page you can share anywhere.
