Can I Embed the Competition Widget in an Email?

You cannot embed a Gleam Competition widget directly inside an email because email clients do not support JavaScript. Since the Competition widget relies on JavaScript to function, it will not render inside email platforms.

The recommended approach is to include a clear call-to-action (CTA) button in your email that links to your Competition landing page. This allows recipients to click through and enter on a fully functional page.

You can direct users to your campaign in two primary ways:

Once traffic is directed properly, you can measure performance using Gleam’s Reporting tab along with your email platform analytics.

If you’re on a Business plan or above, you can use Referrer Reporting to add tracking parameters to your campaign URL. This allows you to monitor how many entries came specifically from your email campaigns.

While widgets can’t be embedded directly in emails, linking strategically to your landing page ensures full tracking, smooth user experience, and measurable campaign results.
