The Shark X campaign showed us how a striking design coupled with a Gleam giveaway can capture attention worldwide. The next chapter of that story will be centered around FreeForm 2.0, our modular, customizable design philosophy, and we're planning future Gleam giveaways to bring that vision to life.

A Custom PC Called Shark X
In November 2024 Cooler Master gave away the Shark X, a custom PC it built with its partners, together with YouTube and TikTok creator @Dinocornel. Cooler Master makes PC cases, power supplies, coolers and custom-built systems, and it designed the Shark X to get noticed across social media and gaming communities over the holidays.
The giveaway widget lists what’s inside: an Intel Core i7-14700K, a Gigabyte B760I AORUS PRO DDR5 WIFI motherboard, an MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16G Ventus 2X OC, 64GB of Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 6000 and a 2TB Kingston FURY Renegade M.2 SSD. Those parts put four partner brands on the giveaway banner (NVIDIA GeForce RTX, Intel, GIGABYTE and Kingston FURY).

Dinocornel’s Audience in the Philippines and the US
@Dinocornel is a Filipino-American creator who reviews tech. Cooler Master’s team says he lives in the US and is hugely popular in the Philippines. Cooler Master picked him because that fanbase could carry the giveaway into both markets at once.
It did. The Philippines and the US sent 81,862 of the 128,770 Entrants (63.58%). The Philippines alone sent 54,298, almost twice the 27,564 from the US.
Dino got something back too. Visiting his YouTube channel was one of the six ways to enter, and Entrants did it 126,734 times.
Six Ways to Enter
Cooler Master built the giveaway in Gleam’s Competitions app with six Actions. The store visit counted once per day, so an Entrant could come back for a fresh entry every day of the two-week run.

The newsletter Action promised exclusive discounts in its title, and Cooler Master paid that off straight away. Every Entrant who signed up got a 15% discount code, then a new code each week for other Cooler Master products.
That gave subscribers a reason to wait for the next email, and it sold other Cooler Master products while the giveaway was still running.

933,726 Impressions, 128,770 Entrants

Key Growth Takeaways

Cooler Master gave away one custom PC with one creator over two weeks and drew 128,770 Entrants. So what can you take from the Shark X giveaway for your own hardware brand?
Pick a creator by where fans live. Cooler Master chose @Dinocornel for his fans in the Philippines and the US, and those two countries sent 81,862 of the 128,770 Entrants. Check which countries a creator’s audience lives in before you sign them.
Give your creator their own Action. Entrants visited Dino’s YouTube channel 126,734 times, the second most completed Action. Add a visit Action for your creator’s channel so the partnership sends them traffic too.
Name the discount in the newsletter Action. The Action title promised exclusive discounts, every signup got a 15% code plus a new one each week, and 105,075 Entrants subscribed. Write your offer into the Action title and send the first code on signup.
Make the store visit a daily Action. The once-per-day store visit led all six Actions with 190,690 completions over the two-week run. Set your store Action to repeat daily so returning Entrants land on your products every time.
