When Should I Show and Not Show a Floating Popup?

A popup that appears before someone has read anything mostly gets closed. Wait until they've shown some interest.

Good moments to show it:

• After they've spent some time on your site
• Part way down a long article
• When they're about to leave

Times to hold back:

• The moment the page loads, especially on phones
• Again and again to the same visitor

To set this up, open your Capture's Targeting tab:

1. Click Add New Rule.
2. Add Time on Site, Scrolled % of Page or On Exit. On Exit lets you choose which devices it shows on and how sensitive it is.
3. Add Times Shown to cap how often a visitor sees it, per visit or ever.

Test a few timings and keep the one that converts best for your audience. Every trigger is in Triggers.
