What's the Difference Between Competition & Newsletter Subscribers?
Competition Subscribers are entrants who want to be notified of future campaigns, whereas Newsletter Subscribers have consented to receive emails from you via the Subscribe action.

You can find a user's subscription status in the Users page under the Subscriptions column.
Competition subscribers are entrants who have opted to receive notifications when you run a new campaign via Gleam. You can send notification emails for a particular campaign via the Promote tab.
Newsletter subscribers are entrants who have consented to email marketing through any Subscribe to a Newsletter action from your campaigns.
