Can I Submit Multiple Votes?
Gallery voting is designed to be flexible while preventing duplicate votes on the same entry. A voter can submit one vote per item (image or video), but they are free to vote on multiple different entries within the same gallery.
If a user attempts to vote on the same image or video again, the system removes the previous vote instead of adding a second one. This works similarly to liking and unliking a post on platforms like Instagram, helping keep vote counts accurate and intentional.
Voting behaviour changes slightly when anonymous voting is enabled. In this mode, voters are not required to log in. As a result, the same person may be able to vote on an item again from a different device, browser, or location.
To prevent repeat voting in these cases, gallery owners can opt to require login for voters. Requiring login ensures each vote is tied to a verified user, limiting votes to one per item per account and providing stronger control over fairness.
These Gallery features allow you to balance ease of participation with vote integrity, depending on whether your gallery prioritizes accessibility or stricter voting controls.
