Can You Buy Facebook Followers?

Technically yes, but what you buy is fake or inactive accounts. They don't comment, click or buy, so each post reaches fewer real people and your engagement rate drops. Meta's Spam policy also bans buying, selling or exchanging likes and follows, which puts your page at risk.

A giveaway brings in people who chose to be there. In your Competition:

  1. On the How to Enter tab, add Visit a Page with your Facebook page URL. Entrants land on your page, and liking it stays optional.
  2. Add Subscribe to a Newsletter, so you keep an audience you own.
  3. Add Viral Share, which rewards entrants when a friend enters through their link.
Caution

This isn't legal advice. Meta's Spam policy lists a prize for liking a page as a violation, so keep the like optional rather than worth entries. Meta's Pages, Groups and Events Policies also make you responsible for running your promotion lawfully.

We can't confirm a like with Facebook, so compare your page's follower growth against your entries to see what the giveaway did.

What Happens If You Buy Facebook Likes?

You get likes from fake or inactive accounts that never engage, your engagement rate drops, and Meta's Spam policy bans buying likes.
