Can I Change the Prize Currency?
Gleam supports adding a prize value in USD under the Prizes tab. There is no option to enter a prize value in another currency, but you can leave it blank.
Do I need to add a prize value?
Declaring a prize value is primarily a legal requirement in the United States. At this time, it is particularly for competitions open to residents of states like New York or Florida, where prize value thresholds trigger registration requirements. If your competition is not open to US residents, you may not need to add a prize value at all. We recommend checking the legal requirements in your region before launch.
Is the prize value visible to contestants?
If you add a prize value, it only shows up in Gleam's default Terms and Conditions. Contestants won't see it unless they read the T&Cs. If you are including custom Terms and Conditions, you can add the prize value manually.
Showing your prize value in a local currency
If you'd like to display a prize value in your local currency, you can add custom Terms and Conditions on any paid Competitions plan. This lets you replace the default T&Cs with your own, where you can describe the prize value in whichever currency and format is appropriate for your audience.
