Can I Verify If Users Actually Joined My Telegram Channel?
Yes, on the Business Plan and above. Gleam checks with Telegram that each entrant has joined before it gives them the entry, using a bot you create and add to your channel or group.
- Create a bot by messaging BotFather on Telegram with
/newbot, and copy the API token it gives you. - In Gleam, go to Site Settings > Integrations, turn on Telegram and paste the token.
- Add the bot to your channel or group as an admin.
- In your Competition, add the Join a Channel/Group Action and, under Tracking Options, choose Check Follow Status.

Without tracking (the None option, and the only one below Business), entrants get the entry for clicking through, whether they joined or not. Check winners by hand in that case.
Tracking confirms membership, nothing more. It can't tell a real fan from a prize hunter with a fresh account, so pick a prize your audience actually wants. For a big campaign, give it its own Telegram integration so one bot doesn't hit Telegram's rate limits.
