8.9 Actions Per Entrant
The 1776 Independence Day Giveaway was Invictus Templar's first campaign on Gleam. The numbers show an audience that did more than the minimum to enter, and that they worked through the nearly nine actions each, rather than stopping at one.

Invictus Templar is a veteran-built tactical gear and body armour brand, selling NIJ-certified plates, plate carriers, and tactical belts to people serious about their own preparedness.
That same focus on a specific, committed audience shows up in how they ran their first giveaway on Gleam.

13,108 Actions From 1,515 Entrants
To walk through the stats: Invictus Templar's 1776 Independence Day Giveaway got 9,200 impressions, 13,108 actions, and 1,515 entrants, for a 16.47% conversion rate.
The number that matters most is 8.65 completed actions per entrant on average, a rate that lands in the 81st percentile among large Gleam campaigns, and a big part of it comes from one mechanic: the Daily Patriot Bonus Entry, claimable once a day for as long as the giveaway ran, which pulled in 5,088 actions on its own, nearly 39% of the total.
That's less about breadth across different platforms and more about a meaningful share of entrants coming back day after day. Working through nine available steps, including one worth repeating daily, isn't something even possible with a single-action giveaway, the kind you'd see on a simple like-and-share Instagram post.
It only happens when there's a prize good enough to entice someone, and enough actions on offer that an interested entrant has somewhere to keep going.

A Full Kit as the Grand Prize, Plus Runners-Up
For the grand prize, Invictus Templar built a full kit rather than a single item: a ballistic helmet, rifle plates, and a plate carrier, plus accessories and merch, along with a second prize and a set of runners-up.
A kit like this speaks so specifically to an audience that already cares about preparedness and readiness.
Nobody who isn't interested in purchasing from Invictus Templar is entering a giveaway to win a full tactical gear set.
The multiple tiers help explain why entrants kept going too: with a second prize and a set of runners-up on offer, working through another action still felt worth it even for someone not chasing the grand prize outright. More people had a realistic shot at winning something, which likely helped beyond the daily bonus entry alone.
Newsletter Signups, SMS Opt-Ins, and Social Follows
The best part about running a giveaway is being able to grow your owned channels so you can continue marketing long after the campaign ends. In particular, this giveaway added 969 email subscribers and 728 SMS opt-ins that Invictus Templar can contact directly.
It also allowed them to grow their following across five platforms, including their own Coffee and Crusade podcast, and sent over a thousand new visitors straight into the shop.

A First Giveaway With a Second Already on the Calendar
It is hard to believe with the success of this campaign that it was Invictus Templar's first giveaway on Gleam. In Calvin's own words: "It was our first time using Gleam, and we loved it."
In fact, he's already planning an August giveaway tied to the brand's own anniversary, making July 4th the opening entry in what's becoming a regular marketing event in their calendar.
Independence Day fit the brand's identity pretty perfectly: it's a patriotic occasion so it suits a a veteran-built brand. The anniversary giveaway follows the same logic, a date that already matters to the business. This way the giveaway feels almost like giving back to the community or a celebration, rather than just a marketing strategy.

Get started today and plan your next giveaway campaign around the perfect occasion for your brand using our calendar playbook.
