Reddit Actions

Applications that support Reddit actions:

• Competitions
• Rewards

Gleam supports the ability to login with Reddit as an action type.

This means you can open up a Competition to any Reddit user, simply add it as an action type & once they login via Reddit they will get an entry.

The Reddit Visit action allows you to ask users to visit any subreddit. This action will send users to the subreddit where they can interact with it freely.

All you need to do is enter the subreddit you want users to visit.

Gleam also allows you to track if a user is subscribed to your subreddit at the time of entry.

The user will be required to authenticate and connect their Reddit account with Gleam before visiting your subreddit.

To activate tracking you will need to select Check subscriber status and you will be prompted to connect your Reddit account:

Then, the subreddits you own or moderate will appear in a dropdown menu for you to choose from:

If you enabled tracking for your Reddit Visit action you can find out if an entrant is a subscriber by viewing the Actions tab in your Competition.

Filter the entries by your Reddit Visit action and you'll see the subscriber status under Details.
