Setup Tab

The Setup tab is where every Capture starts. Here you:

• Give your Capture a name
• Choose its type
• Pick a layout and variation
• Choose how people interact with it

The options further down change with the type you choose. There are nine:

Each type has its own layouts and variations. For a Bar, you can choose Pinned or Madlib, then a style (Light, Simple, Bordered or Large):

User Action sets what people do with your Capture.

Collect just an email address:

Use it to:

• Grow your email list
• Show a special offer to first-time visitors
• Show a coupon code when people are about to leave
• Let people register for a webinar with just their email
• Give access to whitepapers or other content
• Personalise popups for the social network people arrive from

Collect a name and an email address:

Just a button. It's easy to overlook, but it opens up lots of ways to personalise your site:

• Send people to your Competition
• Tell people you ship to their country
• Let people know a product is out of stock
• Announce a sale
• Show that you support their language

Turn on Two Step Capture to ask a question first, then show the signup. Each step can have its own message.

Bars have two more settings:

• Display Mode: Sticky (moves with scroll), Static (doesn't move) or Scroll (hides when scrolling down)
• Position: top or bottom of the page

With the Coupon type you add your coupon codes:

• Add a single code and it can be claimed as many times as you like
• Add individual codes and your Capture ends once they've all been claimed

With the Countdown type you set the time zone and the exact time to count down to.
