How Do I Trigger a Coupon Popup When a User Tries to Leave?
The On Exit rule shows your Capture when a visitor is about to leave your site. You choose which devices it fires on and how sensitive it is.
- Create a Capture and choose the Coupon type. Add a single code that anyone can claim, or individual codes that end the Capture once they're all claimed.
- Open the Targeting tab and click Add New Rule, then Triggers, then On Exit.
- Choose the devices and the sensitivity.
- Add a Current URL rule, for example a URL that contains /cart or /checkout, so the offer only shows where people abandon.
- Preview it, then publish.
Rules in one group must all match, so the exit rule plus the URL rule only fires on the right pages. New Captures start with two exclude rules, so people who've already subscribed or closed it don't see it again.
