Can I Build a Competition Before I Upgrade?
Yes. You can build a whole Competition on any plan, including Free. We autosave your progress as a draft while you work, and you'll find it under Drafts on your Competitions dashboard.
If you add an action or setting your plan doesn't include, we'll ask you to upgrade when you try to launch. Until then you can keep editing the draft. We delete drafts left untouched for a month.
To check the widget before anyone can enter:
- Set Starts on the Setup tab to a future date, then save.
- Open the Preview tab and try your actions. We invalidate your own admin entries before the start date, so they won't count.
- Send the landing page link to your team or client. Until the start date, visitors see when it opens instead of the entry form.
Saving needs every feature in the Competition to be on your plan, so to test paid features you'll need to upgrade first. More on drafts and copying in the Competition setup overview.
