How Do I Run a Shopify Contest?
- Create a Competition with a prize your customers actually want, like your own products.
- If you want to reward purchases, pick how to check them:
- A Secret Code action (Hobby Plan and above) asks for an order number. Choose Multiple Codes and upload the order numbers you'll accept, so each works once.
- A Custom Action with tracking (Business Plan and above) unlocks the entry from a page on your store, if your theme lets you add the script there.
- For any action that needs a purchase, switch on A Purchase or Donation is Required to Complete This Action. We add a free entry alternative to your terms and show it to entrants in countries where the law requires one. See our No Purchase Necessary guide.
- Add Viral Share so entrants earn entries for friends who enter.
- Install it on your store. The first install option can create a Shopify page with the Competition already embedded, or you can paste the embed code into a page using the HTML editor.
