What Actions Should I Use in a Kickstarter Pre-Launch Campaign?
Before launch, your goal is a list of people who'll back you on day one. Build the Competition around three actions, then swap in the Kickstarter Action when you go live.
- Subscribe Action: your launch list. Make it Mandatory under Advanced so every entrant joins it, and connect your email provider so you can send the launch-day email.
- Question Action: ask which reward tier or add-on interests them. Use Single Choice so the answers are easy to sort.
- Visit Action: send entrants to your Kickstarter pre-launch page so they can ask to be told when it goes live.
Add a Viral Share Action if you want entrants to bring friends, and a Twitch Action if you stream development updates.
The Kickstarter Action plays your project video and only works once your project is live. Before that, the embed is blank, so use a Visit Action for your pre-launch page.
Swap the Visit Action for the Kickstarter Action, paste your Kickstarter URL and email your list.
The template above already has this structure, so you only need to add your links and prize.

Can I Require All Actions to Be Completed Before Awarding Entries?
Every Gleam action must award at least one entry; zero-entry actions aren't possible. To ensure only participants who complete all required steps enter the draw, use a locked Bonus Action as the final step and draw winners from that action only. Read on for the full setup.
