How Do I Retweet on X?
To repost on X, tap the two-arrow icon beneath a post and choose Repost. X used to call this a retweet.
If you're running a giveaway, add the Repost Action to your Competition:
- Open the How to Enter tab and add the X Repost Action.
- Paste the URL of the post you want entrants to repost. It must already exist.
Be aware of a limit on X's side. Since X changed its API, we can't verify server-side that a repost happened. We record the entrant's X handle, but we can't confirm with X that the action happened. So when you draw a winner, check their X handle in your entries export and confirm they reposted. If verification matters, make an email signup or website visit your main qualifying entry.
If entrants see an authorisation error, ask them to open X settings, go to Security and then Connected apps, find Gleam and revoke access. They can then retry in your campaign.
