Can I Use Rewards to Collect More Customer Data?

Yes — but not by adding custom fields to the basic redemption form the way a competition entry does. By default, a Rewards campaign only prompts redeemers for their email (and name), so collecting more depends on the method you choose.

Ask for it as a redemption step. The most reliable route is to require a data-collecting action to unlock the reward. Rewards supports the Question Action (including single- and multiple-choice) and a Complete a Typeform Survey action, so you can gather preferences, intent, or richer survey answers in exchange for the incentive.

Add custom user-detail fields (Business plan). You can collect extra details at sign-up, but note one limitation: this data does not currently sync with email or marketing providers, so you access it through the redemption log or a webhook rather than your ESP.

Export everything (Premium plan). The Post-Redeem Webhook sends all redemption data to your own endpoint, which is how you feed it into a CRM.

That's progressive profiling in practice: a giveaway captures the email, then a Rewards campaign asks for a little more in return for the reward.
