Patreon Actions

This documentation covers the actions that we support via Patreon.

Applications that support Patreon actions:

Note

Patreon Actions are available on the Hobby plan and above

Gleam supports the ability to login with Patreon as an action type.

This means you can open up a Competition to any Patreon user, simply add it as an action type & once they login via Patreon they will get an entry.

The Patreon Visit action allows you to ask users to visit your Patreon creator's page to unlock an entry. This action will send users to the creator's page where they can interact with it freely.

This is the backend view of the action, you can enter the Patreon page URL you would like the user to visit.

Gleam also allows you to track if a user is already your patron at the time of entry.

The user will be required to authenticate and connect their Patreon account with Gleam before visiting your Patreon page.

Select Track Patron status and you will be prompted to connect your Patreon account:

Then, your Patreon pages will appear in the dropdown menu:

Select a Patreon page managed by you

If you enabled tracking for your Patreon Visit action you can find out if an entrant is a Patron by viewing the Actions tab in your Competition.

Filter the entries by your Patreon Visit action, and you'll see the status logged under Details.
