Gated content can be a great way to interact with your audience and provide extra value exclusively. By offering exclusive content or freebies, you will be able to drive powerful actions and build an audience of relevant users who are highly interested in your offering.
If you have freebies in the form of files such as music, images or documents, then you can use the Downloads reward type to let users download your file directly after interacting with your campaign.
Using our Downloads widget you can run your campaigns on your own site, on Facebook, on Twitter or host it with us. Have a play with the demo below:
Some uses of our Downloads Reward are:
- Giving users a free song off an album
- Driving mail signups to unlock your latest report
- Offer a download to users that follow you on 3 social networks
- Allowing fans to download 50 exclusive printable concert tickets for following you on Twitter
- Running a refer a friend incentive to get a free file download
- Allowing customers to redeem 1000 downloadable/printable coupon codes to use in store for providing feedback
Delivery Methods
Redeeming Download in Widget
Once all the required actions are complete, the download link will be revealed to the user in a button above the action area. Like this:
Redeeming Download in Email
In addition to revealing the download button in the widget, the user will also get an email with the download link attached - provided that you check the Capture user details box during setup.
These emails can be customised on your own if you upgrade to Business plan.
We currently do not host files on the Gleam platform, but you can host your Download file with a reliable service such as Dropbox.
