Are Survey Contests Compliant with Giveaway Laws?
A survey giveaway is legal in most places when nobody pays for a chance to win. The details come from how the winner is chosen. A random draw makes it a sweepstakes, and a judged winner makes it a contest.
To set it up in Gleam:
- Add the Question action and write your survey questions. Switch on Validate Answers if you need a specific format.
- Make sure nothing in the entry route costs money. If you do ask for a purchase, offer a free alternative.
- On the Pre-Entry tab, switch on Minimum Age if your promotion is limited to adults.
- Check your Terms & Conditions. We generate them for every Competition, including how winners are selected.
