How Do I Promote My Competition After it Goes Live?

Gleam doesn't promote your competition on your behalf, so driving traffic to it is up to you. Most campaigns see their biggest spike in entries in the first two days after launch, so it's worth building momentum early. Here's how to do it:

Day 0 — Launch Day Checklist

  • Email your list — your highest-converting promotion. One dedicated email, clear subject line, direct link to the campaign.
  • Post on every social channel you use — Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn. Tailor the format to each platform.
  • Pin the post on your social profiles so it stays visible for the duration of the campaign.
  • Feature it on your website — banner, popup, or homepage link.

  • Add it to your bio links (Linktree, link-in-bio tools) — captures traffic from Instagram, TikTok, and X bios where direct post linking isn't always possible.
  • Work through the Promote tab in your campaign dashboard — it's a built-in checklist of launch activities including bio links, email reminders, and more.

Days 1–2 — Amplify

  • Reshare to Instagram and Facebook Stories
  • Post a behind-the-scenes or prize unboxing video
  • Reach out to industry publications or newsletters for a shout-out
  • Reward entrants with bonus entries for referring friends via the Viral Share action

Throughout the campaign

  • Post a fresh angle every 3–4 days (countdown, prize close-up, spotlight and entrant)
  • Mention the competition in any other content you publish (blog, podcast, email)
  • In the final 48 hours, add an urgency post and a final "last chance" email
