Can I Run a Referral Program With Gleam Rewards (Without Extra Software)?

Rewards is designed for instant redemption, so it isn't a full customer referral program. It doesn't track whether a referred friend buys, or release a referrer's discount afterwards. What you can build is a simple share-to-unlock offer that grows your list.

Then:

1. Add Subscribe so every customer joins your mailing list before they share.
2. Add Viral Share. Entrants only get credit when a friend enters through their link.
3. On the Reward tab, add the coupon code. A single code goes to everyone, and several codes give each person a unique one, which also caps the claims at the number of codes.
4. Set Actions Required to Unlock to the number of actions you want people to finish first.

If you need rewards paid for referred sales, you'll need your store or a dedicated referral tool to track the purchases.
