Random Name Picker
The Random Name Picker draws random winners from a list of names you paste in or upload, on a screen you can share or stream. It’s on every plan, including Free, so use it for winners from comments, a spreadsheet or an event that ran outside Gleam.
You can add names in two ways:
- Enter names: paste them into the field, one name per line
- Get names from a file: upload a text file with one name per line
Here is the Random Name Picker in action:
Set the Number of winners, then click Draw Winners. Each winner shows as a first name and initial, so the screen is safe to share on a stream. Click the ℹ button to see the full name and the line it came from in your list, or click Repick Winner to draw again.
The number of names you can draw from is dependent on your plan:
- 1k on Free Competitions Plan
- 4k on Hobby Competitions Plan
- 10k on Pro Competitions Plan
- 50k on Business Competitions Plan
- 100k on Premium Competitions Plan
You can customize the 'entry worth' for each entrant by appending the value behind their name. Like this:
Avery Higgins, 5
Riley Mcpherson, 2
Entrants will have a higher chance of winning depending on how much their entries are worth.
Enter the number of winners you wish to draw, then click on Draw Winners.
There is no limits on the number of winners you can draw.
