Design Tab
The Design tab controls how your Competition widget looks, from its title and feature image to custom CSS and widget text.
Competition Title shows your Competition's name at the top of the widget. It's on by default and uses your Competition Name, but you can write a different public title here (up to 80 characters), or switch it off.
Add an image or video to the top of your widget with Feature Media.
- Images: upload up to 4 images (5MB max each). One image shows as a feature image, more than one becomes a slideshow. We recommend 1080 x 567px for a single image and 1080 x 810px for a slideshow
- Video: paste a YouTube, Twitch, Vimeo or Wistia URL instead
Use Description to tell entrants what they can win and how the Competition works. The editor supports bold, italics, links, images and more, and the placeholder text gives you a starting point.
Change the look of the widget itself:
- Design: the overall widget style (Modern by default)
- Text Alignment: left or centred text
- Padding & Rounding: how much space and how rounded the corners are
You can hide the row that shows the total number of ways to enter below the Prize image area with this checkbox:
Turn this on to hide how many entries your Competition has received so far.
Turn on Remove Gleam Branding to take the Gleam branding off your widget, Facebook shares and emails.
Every Competition gets a Gleam-hosted landing page. Styling uses your site settings by default, and you can change the background in your site settings.
On the business plan you can add custom CSS to your competitions. You can use this to control almost any element inside the widget that you want, any styles added during campaign setup will affect this campaign only.
You can change any text in the widget. Add the key for the text you want to change and your new value in quotes (it uses YAML). Only add the lines you're changing, not the whole file.
The reference file has this:

To change them, add this to Widget Text Overrides:

You can include HTML too, as long as the whole value is wrapped in double quotes:
